Merry Christmas Everyone!!
I know that this year may not have been all too merry for us, but I want us to be reminded of the Hope that came to us in a Bethlehem manger 2000+ years ago.
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

Though December 25th is most likely not the day of the His birth (some say that He was born in April), it is a day that we call to remembrance the meek entrance of the Lord onto the world’s stage. The moment He stepped out of eternity and into time — when the Eternal Word of God became finite flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth (John 1:14) — was the moment that the people who lived in darkness saw a great light (Isaiah 9:2) and basked in all the hope He brought with Him.
